Fields of Research: Machine Tools, Automation, Control Systems, Industrial Communication Networks

After graduating in Mechatronics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany, he worked as a Doctoral research associate in the field of condition monitoring of machine tools under supervision of Prof. Fleischer at wbk of KIT. In 2017, he became group leader for industrial projects at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center of SME, a Sino-German collaboration between wbk and Tongji University. During this time, he worked on numerous industrial and joint research projects, most notably he was the project leader for the German consortium of the I4TP project, the largest Sino-German joint research project in the field of production science. Since 2021 he is a foreign expert and assistant professor in the field of Smart Production at the School of Mechanical Engineering of Tongji University.
