Prof. Dr. Fei QIAO received the M.S. degree in control engineering and the Ph.D. degree in management engineering from Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in 1993 and 1997, respectively. Since 1993, she joined Tongji University, where she is currently a Full Professor with CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacturing System) Research Center at School of Electronics and Information Engineering of Tongji Unversity.
Over the past 30 years, she has been engaged in research and teaching in the field of System Engineering and Industrial Engineering. She has published five books and over 100 research papers in academic journals and conferences. Her current research interests include complex manufacturing planning and scheduling, intelligent optimization, sustainable manufacturing scheduling, industrial big data, operation management of smart factory, etc.
Prof. Qiao was a recipient of the Humboldt Scholarship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Excellent Talent of New Century from Ministry of Education, China. She is also Executive director and Deputy Secretary General of CAA (Chinese Association of Automation), Vice president of Shanghai microcomputer application society, and Vice president of Shanghai Society of systems engineering.
