Weidong Huang
Doctor, professor, researcher, doctoral supervisor. Professor Huang graduated from Lanzhou University with a bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanics in July 1993 and graduated from Tongji University with a master's degree in Urban Road and Airport Engineering in March 1997. He graduated from Tongji University with a doctor's degree in Road and Railway Engineering in March 2000.
Professor Huang has presided over 3 national Natural Science Foundation of China projects and 4 provincial and ministerial research projects. 12 invention patents have been applied, 6 of which have been authorized (4 as the first inventor), 6 of which are in the effective stage of substantive review; He was awarded the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2008, ranking 4th, and the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2009, ranking 6th. His research interests include road materials, asphalt and asphalt mixtures, including:
1. Research and development of new asphalt materials, mainly including research and development of various asphalt mixtures and special modified asphalt for asphalt pavement. The current research focuses include: Study on formulation, process, properties and application of modified asphalt from waste tire rubber powder; study on modified asphalt from waste plastics; study on special modified asphalt for fatigue performance; study on special modified asphalt for low temperature performance.
2. The performance of the modified asphalt and mixture design method of evaluation and research, mainly focused on the performance of asphalt and asphalt mixture fatigue evaluation, design and application of new method based on fatigue performance of asphalt mixture design, the performance of asphalt and asphalt mixture at low temperature evaluation and research, based on the low temperature performance of asphalt cement and mixture design.
3. Research on pavement maintenance technology, mainly including the development, research and evaluation of various new pavement maintenance materials.
